populate run historyDoes anyone know of any utility or script that allows one to "populate" the
start menu>run history? I use this a lot and if it gets cleared its a lot of hassle typing them all in again. Thanks. If so, open the registry editor (Start => Run => regedit) and navigate to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies \Explorer Look in the right-hand pane for the String "ClearRecentDocsOnExit" Right-click on this and Modify its Value to 0 {that's a zero}. > How is the Run history being cleared? Does it clear every time you Thanks for reply. It doesnt clear every reboot and "ClearRecentDocsOnExit" > restart the computer? is 0. I install OS's regularly and may have 15+ items listed in the very convenient run history. Can you tell me where the run history strings are stored maybe I could then find a quick way to enter them. Now when they all disappear just go to the saved file, right click on it and select "Merge" -- ---------------- Stubbo of Sydney ---------------- |
