DNs for Server 2003I am trying to use in internal dns for the company to block
the 'myspace' website for 99% of the company while there is a select few that does need to access 'myspace' for work. I made a phoney 'myspace' domain on the server and pointed at one of my servers that does not respond to port 80. That works fine, but allowing the select few access myspace is still a problem. Is there a way to resolve this on the server without editing a workstations host file? If so how? Regards, Hello Ow***@discussions.microsoft.com,
Install ISA server or free proxy server like squid to have control over this. You have to do it with a Firewall Product that sits on the edge of the network (not a personal "host based" firewall like the Windows Firewall). -- Show quoteHide quotePhillip Windell www.wandtv.com The views expressed, are my own and not those of my employer, or Microsoft, or anyone else associated with me, including my cats. ----------------------------------------------------- "Owen@7" <Ow***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B61CB8B1-40C9-4765-881A-7A8FB393609B@microsoft.com... >I am trying to use in internal dns for the company to block > the 'myspace' website for 99% of the company while there is a select few > that does need to access 'myspace' for work. > > I made a phoney 'myspace' domain on the server and pointed at one of my > servers > that does not respond to port 80.
