Can Access 2007 generate an email receipt after details entered?

I am creating a database for our club using Access 2007 and I am a beginner.
I want to know if I can set up the database to automatically generate an
email receipt when the treasurer enters member details and receipt number.
Any help gratefully received.

Jan,

Yes you can do this but it will involve some VBA coding using the SendObject
function.

Thank you for your response. I do want to proceed with this concept because
it will solve a problem we are having.
I do not know anything about VBA coding and the book I have does not mention
it.
Any help will be gratefully received.
