Scheduled Tasks - password problem

I rarely use the Scheduled Tasks tools. On trying to make a change
just now to an existing old entry I had to enter my password (which
I'm sure I remember correctly) and got the message:
"An error has occurred while attempting to set task account
information.
The specific error is:
0x80070005: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to perform the requested operation."

Can someone help me sort this please?

Terry,
After setting your schedule on the Schedule tab, DON'T hit apply or okay.
Instead, toggle the Task tab and hit okay.

Thanks Scott, I'll try that first thing in the morning.
