I find myself inadvertently dragging ICONS out of my TASKBAR and back on to
my desk top.  It's not a HUGE deal I just move them back into the taskbar and
continue working.

However I was curious, is there a way to LOCK the ICONS in the task bar, so
they are unmoveable.

This would be nice to know in a Business environment as well when your
trying to lock down the machines.

I assume you mean the QuickLaunch area?  Something about your question
isn't clear; please explain. If you drag an icon from the QuickLaunch,
it's copied, not moved, so it doesn't go away in the QL. And none of the
others can be moved unless you've created your own folders on the
TaskBar.

Sorry I was mistaken.  I ment the Quick Launch ICONS not taskbar icons.

Is there a way to lock the QL icons so they are not moveable??

Not that I'm aware of.  Also I gave you bad info when I told you it
copied, not moved, the icon.  I dragged an icon off my QL yesterday, and
it appeared on the desktop plus remained in the QL.  But, this morning
it was gone!  So I guess it really does remove them by dragging.  I'd
have sworn it didn't.
